This is a class 4 - 5 steep creek in Veracruz, Mex. It is just 1 in about 20 different sections of the Alseseca river.
This particular part is called the "Tablazo" section.
This section is very committing and extremely rewarding.
It requires more water than we had, but levels were good for exploration.
This river is an absolute gem. It has more than 40 rapids and waterfalls. It is a travertine steep creek with easy put-in and take-out. Enjoy!

Have you ever wanted to raft waterfalls? Well, this is the place to do it. Our technique is perfect, so be ready for this trip!
Minas Viejas is a run that is developing a lot of interest.
9 miles with about 40 rapids. Some as big as 45 feet.
Easy shuttle and a classic kayak run. Class 4 to 5.
El Salto is the ultimate waterfall run in the Huasteca.
2 miles and 23 drops. The put-in has a 210 foot waterfall and the take-out a 100 foot fall.
Rio Micos is a disneyland for kayaking. It has 7 drops that can be class 5 in the early season and class 2 in late season.
Tolantongo is a hot spring tributary to the Amajac.
The water temperature is around 100 degrees in the spring. Very nice class 4 - 5 run in the high desert.
