  • Rafting on Rio Tampaon.

    Rafting Tampaon
We will be starting the trip with a rafting trip on the Rio Tampaon.  This is one of the most beautiful turquoise colored rivers of the Huasteca.  The rapids are  class three, they are suitable for ages 10 and up.  We will be travelling 18 kilometers down river.

Whitewater action in the canyon consists of 9 different rapids.

Swimming and sightseeing are incredible in this 3000 foot deep canyon.   We will do a quick portage over the Puente de Dios (bridge of God) and arrive at the beach for a great riverside meal and cold beer and soda.

  • Xilitla, Surreallistic Garden and Sotano de las Golondrinas

Xilitla is a picturesque mountain town of about 10,000 people.  Sirt Edward James picked this place for his castle and garden.

James was a great admirer of Salvador Dali and decided to build on of his paintings in the jungle of Mexico.  Pools for swimming and cascading waterfalls are all part of the Xilitla experience.

After a morning in the Garden we will go to the Sotano de las Golondrinas (Cave of the Swallows).

Sotano is a 1000 foot deep sink hole with a population of 5000 mexican swallows.  These swallows swarm the entrance of the cave at sunrise and sunset.  We will watch the sunset return of the swallows to the cave, enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant and then head back to Ciudad Valles.

  • Rappel Minas Viejas.

Minas Viejas is a 140 foot rappel next to a gorgeous waterfall.  When you arrive at the bottom be prepared fo0r a nice cool dip in the river.  The only way to the exit is by swimming through the crystal clear 30 foot deep pool.

Rappel is great for the whole family.

  • Jumping the Waterfalls of the Rio Micos.

The waterfalls of Micos are like a natural disneyland.  You can jump the waterfalls and swimm behind the curtains.  There are seven jumps from 2 foot to 29 feet tall.  You will be acompanied by two guides and a kayaker.
Water temps for the Micos are a constant 80 degrees all season long.   This river is also amazing for kayaking and rafting on the lower sections.
All ages can jump the waterfalls.
  • Zip Lines and Temazcal.

Our sister company, Aventura Huasteca has 6 zip-lines and 2 treetop bridges that cross the Micos River  4 times.

You will be outfitted with a harness, pullies, gloves and some caribiners.  Our guides will take you through the course safely.

After the zip-lines we will have a chance to swim in the pool and enjoy the tranquility of the Aventura ranch.  After supper we will heat the lava rocks for the pre-hispanic sauna (Temazcal).  We will finish the night with the stars, off the grid.
