The closest International airport is Tampico (TAM). Most flights arrive at night. we recommend the 10pm bus from the Central de Autobuses to Valles. The cab from the Airport to central is around 100 pesos (10 dollars). The buss to Valles 180 pesos (18 dollars). Take a Primera Clase or Ejecutivo for the most direct and comfortable ride.
American Airlines now has daily flights to Queretaro City. Queretaro is 5 hours by bus from Jalpan de la Sierra. We will pick you up from Jalpan. Bus tickets to Jalpan cost 213 pesos (18 dollars).
There are three options for Veracruz. Fly into Mexico City, Jalapa (somtimes Xalapa) or Veracruz city. You will need to get a bus to Jalapa and then connect to Tlapacoyan. Remember you want Primera Clase or Ejecutivo. It can be a long ride so get the best bus possible.
Hint: The buses are not like in the movies...some have wireless internet and even a juice bar in the back. If you are really lucky, you will get a double decker!
